What a Winter Garden buyer sees before they call you

Winter Garden sits on the west side of Orange County, close enough to Orlando that search engines treat the whole metro as one market. When someone here types a service and a city into a phone, the results mix the shop two miles away on Plant Street with an Orlando company that will happily drive out, and with a national brand that bought its way onto the page. Your website is the only part of that lineup you fully control.

Most of the deciding happens on a phone, in a driveway or a parking lot, in about the time it takes to lose patience. Nobody is reading your copy in that moment. They are checking whether the site loads, whether it looks like a real business, whether the phone number is tappable, and whether it is obvious you serve their street. A site that stalls gets closed before a single sentence registers.

New households keep arriving out here, and a family that moved in last spring does not have a plumber, an electrician, or a dentist yet. They pick one the same way everyone does now: search, glance, tap. This page is about building the site that survives the glance. The ranking half of the argument lives on our Winter Garden SEO page, and we are not going to repeat it here.

What we build, and what we refuse to use

We hand-code. No WordPress, no page builder, no premium theme with forty settings panels you will never open. Pages ship as HTML, CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript, which means there is very little standing between a visitor and your content. Fewer moving parts is the entire point: nothing to update on a Tuesday, no plugin conflict, no builder that renders one way on your laptop and another way on a four-year-old phone.

That choice shows up in things people actually feel. Pages come in light, so they open on a weak signal in the middle of a job site. Type, spacing, and photo treatment are decisions rather than defaults, which is why a hand-built site tends to read as a real company instead of something bought off a shelf.

The tradeoff, stated plainly: you do not get a drag-and-drop editor. If you want to change your own copy, we build that path on purpose and show you how. If you would rather not think about it, you send the change and we make it. Most owners pick the second. The longer version is on our custom web design and web development pages, and the method itself is written out in how we build.

How we work with Winter Garden businesses

We are based in Orlando, which puts Winter Garden a short drive away. That matters less than you would expect. Almost everything happens over video calls, phone, text, and email, because that is how the work actually moves. A screen share beats a conference table when the subject on the table is your homepage.

So here is the honest version. We do not keep an office in Winter Garden, and we are not going to invent a downtown address to look local. If a face-to-face meeting would genuinely help, we are close enough to make one happen. Most clients never ask. What we will not do is pretend to know your block better than you do, which is why the early calls are mostly us asking questions and writing down your answers.

What you get instead of an office is direct access. Brandon Kelly, the owner, is on every call and answers the texts himself, so nothing you say has to survive a relay through an account manager. Call (407) 694-2055 or send a text at nine at night and it reaches a person, not a queue. If you would rather see work before you talk to anyone, ask for a free mockup and we will build a real page for your business first.

What ships with the build

Every build includes the same core:

If your business needs something a brochure site cannot do, it gets built in the same codebase. A job board we built for a Philadelphia staffing agency lets the owner post openings from her phone. Booking flows, calculators, and portals work the same way. That work is on custom tools, and if you sell products, on ecommerce. Care after launch is website maintenance, and measurement is analytics and CRO.

How a build actually runs

The order never changes, and there is no mystery in it:

Most builds go live a few weeks after we have your content, and the content is usually what sets the pace. The longer answer is written out in our guide on how long it takes to build a website. If you would rather start by grading what you already have, the website report card is free. When you want to see your own business drawn up, ask for the free mockup.

What it costs

The prices are published, so here they are without a discovery call attached. A custom website build runs $3,500 to $12,000+ one time. What moves you along that range is page count, how much writing is involved, and whether the site has to do anything beyond presenting information. A tight site for a two-truck operation sits near the bottom. A large one with a service page for every trade sits higher.

Custom tools are quoted on their own: calculators start at $600, most workhorse tools run $1,500 to $4,000, and online ordering or a small store starts at $3,500. Tool Care, which keeps a tool patched and running after launch, is $75 per month per tool. Ongoing search work is a separate service and is never folded into a build price. For most businesses it runs $1,500 to $3,500 per month, and $3,500 to $7,500 per month in competitive metros or for multi-location companies. The reasoning behind those numbers is in how much a website costs and how much SEO costs, and you can sanity-check any quote you have been handed with what should you pay.

Everything is month to month. No long-term contract, no cancellation ritual, and you own the site, the content, and the accounts either way. Google Ads is the one service we will not put a public number on. Management across the industry is billed either as a flat monthly fee or as a percentage of ad spend, and we quote a flat number after a free consult. That is covered on the Google Ads page.

Where the website stops and the rest starts

A website is the thing everything else points at. It is not, by itself, what gets you found. Once the site is up, the next question is whether anyone searching in Winter Garden ever sees it, and that is a separate job with its own page: Winter Garden SEO covers ranking, the map, and the local work. The metro-wide view sits on Orlando web design and Orlando SEO.

Then there is AI. More buyers now ask a chatbot before they ask Google, and the honest read is this. Google now sells ads in and around AI answers, so paid placement is very much part of that screen. What is not for sale is the organic answer itself: no budget decides which business gets named when someone asks an AI who to call in Winter Garden. That comes down to whether a machine can read your pages, understand what you do, and find the same facts about you in more than one place. A hand-coded site with clean structure is a starting point, and nothing more than that. The rest is on AI search optimization, and you can see where you currently stand with the AI visibility checker.

If you want the same approach applied elsewhere around the metro, there are pages for Winter Park web design, Kissimmee web design, and Lake Mary web design. The full menu is on services.

Common questions

What does a website cost for a Winter Garden business?

A custom build runs $3,500 to $12,000+ one time. Where you land depends on how many pages you need, how much writing is involved, and whether the site has to do anything beyond presenting information. Ongoing search work is separate and runs $1,500 to $3,500 per month for most businesses. Everything is month to month, and you get a flat quote in writing before we start.

Do you build on WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace?

No. We hand-code in HTML, CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript, with no page builder and no theme. That keeps pages light, keeps design decisions in our hands instead of a template's, and removes the plugin updates that break sites on their own schedule. The tradeoff is real: there is no drag-and-drop editor, so either we build you an editing path on purpose or you send us the change.

How long does a build take?

Most builds go live a few weeks after we have your content, and content is usually what sets the pace. Photos, a service list, and answers to a handful of questions are the long pole. You get a written schedule with the quote, before anything starts, so the timeline is not something you find out about later.

Do you have an office in Winter Garden?

No. We are based in Orlando, which is a short drive, and we work by video call, phone, text, and email by default. That is not something we apologize for. A screen share beats a conference table when the subject is your homepage. If an in-person meeting would genuinely help, we are close enough to make one happen.

Do I actually own the site when it is finished?

Yes, all of it. The domain, the hosting, the analytics account, the form provider, the content, and the code are in your name. There is no long-term contract and nothing is held hostage, so if you ever want to move the site elsewhere, you can. The same is true of any ongoing work, which runs month to month.

Will a new site get my business named in AI answers?

We build so it can be read and cited, and nobody honest promises more than that. Be clear about how that screen works: Google now sells ads in and around AI answers, so paid placement is part of it. What no budget buys is the organic answer itself. Which business gets named there depends on whether a machine can read your pages and find the same facts about you elsewhere.

Can you work with the site I already have?

Sometimes. If the bones are sound and the real problem is content, structure, or speed, fixing costs less than rebuilding and we will tell you so. If it sits on a page builder that fights every change, patching it costs more over a year than starting clean. We look first and tell you which one it is, before you spend anything.
