Florida is one state and about nine different search markets. A roofer in Jacksonville, a med spa in Brickell and a pool company in Cape Coral are solving completely different problems on the same search engine. We build and run SEO, local SEO and AI search work for local service businesses across the state, from a home base in Orlando, month-to-month, with the numbers published before you call.
Book a free consultation →Florida looks like a single state on a map and behaves like eight or nine separate markets on a search results page. A plumber in Jacksonville and a plumber in Miami are not competing with each other, are not up against the same set of businesses, and in a lot of cases are not even chasing the same phrasing of the same search. A strategy that wins in a metro with four serious competitors does very little in one with forty.
Competition density is the first thing that changes as you move down the peninsula. In South Florida, most consumer trades already have a deep bench on page one: established local companies, national franchises, and lead aggregators buying their way into the conversation. In parts of Central and North Florida, the same trade may have two or three competitors doing anything deliberate online at all. That gap is why a budget that wins in one metro does nothing in another, and why we will not put a number on a Florida engagement before looking at who is actually ranking in that service area.
Seasonality is the second. Florida runs on a calendar most states do not: a winter season that fills the coasts and the golf communities, a summer that empties some markets and floods others with families, and a hurricane season from June through November that can turn a quiet trade into a scramble inside a single week. Roofers, tree services, restoration crews, generator installers and marine trades all live on that curve. Search does not move fast enough to rescue a business that starts the work in the middle of its own busy season. The visibility has to already be there when the weather turns.
Third, Florida is a state people keep moving to. New arrivals have no relationship with a local dentist, roofer, attorney or vet, so they search for one and take the first credible answer they find. The practical effect is that the pool of people who could find a business through search keeps refreshing itself instead of sitting static the way it does in a market nobody moves to.
Then there is tourism, which touches far more businesses than the ones selling to tourists. Vacation rental owners, property managers, cleaning crews, boat services, and every trade that keeps second homes running are searched for by people who do not live in the market and know nobody in it. Those searchers take whatever a search engine or an AI assistant hands them, because they have no neighbor to ask. That is a real opportunity and it is also why sloppy, thin, out of date web presence costs Florida businesses more than it costs businesses in markets where word of mouth still does most of the work.
We build websites and run search work for local service businesses. The service list does not change from one Florida metro to the next. What changes is how much of it a given market actually demands.
SEO covers the foundation: a site search engines can crawl and trust, a structure that makes sense to a human and a machine, and pages that answer what a customer is really typing before they call anybody. Local SEO covers the map pack side of the same problem: the Google Business Profile, the service area pages, the citations, and the review flow that tells Google a business is real, nearby and still operating. For most Florida service businesses those are one job rather than two products, and we run them together instead of billing for them twice.
AI search optimization is the third leg and it leans on the same foundation. Clear structure, direct answers and clean business data are what let an assistant read a company correctly and name it. There is more on that further down, including what money can and cannot buy in that space.
When the website itself is the thing holding a business back, we rebuild it. Custom web design and web development here mean hand-built pages, not a theme dragged into shape, and the whole approach is written out on how we build. Businesses selling products get ecommerce as its own track. Businesses that need something a normal website does not do, a quote calculator, a booking flow, an internal job board, get a custom tool written for the job.
Around all of that sit the pieces that keep it working: Google Business Profile management, reputation management, content marketing, analytics and conversion work, website maintenance, branding when the identity is the weak link, and email marketing or social media marketing when there is an audience worth talking to directly. Paid search runs through Google Ads for businesses that need volume sooner than organic can deliver it. All of it sits inside lead generation as the frame, because a ranking that never turns into a ringing phone is a number, not a result. The complete list is on the services page.
Reporting is part of the arrangement rather than an upsell. We run first-party lead dashboards on more than 20 of the sites we manage, so an owner can watch the calls and form fills arrive instead of taking a monthly summary on faith. You can also check a few things yourself before you ever talk to us: the website report card, the AI visibility checker, and the rest of the free tools.
Kelly Webmasters and Marketers is based in Orlando. That is the whole picture: one home base in Central Florida, and a client list spread across the state and the country.
Orlando is the one Florida market where we are genuinely local. Everywhere else in the state, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, St. Petersburg, and every smaller market in between, we work with businesses remotely, the same way we serve clients in forty-plus states. No satellite offices. No local staff. No rented mailbox address in a metro nobody from here has ever worked out of. If an agency tells you it has offices in six Florida cities, the fair question is which desk the person doing your work actually sits at.
Remote has never been the hard part. We have been Orlando-based, working with local service businesses nationwide since 2008, and none of the real work needs a car ride. Claiming a Google Business Profile, fixing schema markup, writing service area pages, rebuilding a site that loads too slowly on a phone, none of that gets better because somebody drove to your office. What does matter is that you talk to the person doing the work instead of an account manager relaying messages, and that is how this is set up.
In practice, working together looks like this. You send a photo from a job site or a note about a new service you started offering, and it gets written up and published without a ticket queue sitting in the middle. Questions usually get answered the same day. Nobody hands your account off to a junior hire six months in, because there is no bench to hand it to. That is the upside of a small shop and it is also the ceiling of one, and you should weigh both before you hire anybody, us included.
The tradeoff is real and worth saying plainly: if what you want is somebody who will sit in your conference room every month, we are not that. Calls, video, email and text all work, and the phone gets answered by the person who built the thing. Get a free quote, call (407) 694-2055, or send a text.
Each metro below has its own page, because each one has its own competitive set, its own neighborhoods, and its own cost reality. One honest sentence here is the short version. The page carries the detail.
If you are comparing shops rather than hiring one today, we keep an honest roundup for our own market at best SEO companies in Orlando, and the full list of places we work is on the locations page. We take work in smaller Florida markets too, Naples, Sarasota, Ocala, Fort Myers, Port St. Lucie, Tallahassee, Melbourne and the rest. Those markets just do not each have a page here yet, which says something about our publishing schedule and nothing about the work.
A growing share of Florida searches now end in an answer instead of a list of links. Somebody asks an assistant for a good roofer in Cape Coral or a pediatric dentist in Winter Park and gets back a written response naming two or three businesses. If that answer satisfies them, no click ever happens, and every business further down the page might as well not have existed for that search.
Here is the part worth being precise about, because plenty of pitches are not. Google now sells ads in and around its AI answers, and the other assistants are moving the same direction, so there is paid inventory in that space and more of it on the way. What there is not is a way to buy the answer itself. No budget decides which businesses the written answer names. That part gets assembled from what the systems can actually read about a business: its website, its Google Business Profile, its reviews, and whatever independent sources happen to mention it.
Which means the work is largely the same work, aimed at a different reader. Structured data that states plainly what a business does and where it does it. Pages that answer a question in the first two sentences instead of burying it under three paragraphs of throat clearing. A consistent name, address and phone number across every place a machine goes looking. Reviews that are real and recent. None of it is exotic and all of it also helps in ordinary search results, which is why we do not sell AI work as a separate retainer stacked on top of the SEO one.
What we will not tell you is that we can get a business named in a specific answer to a specific question. Nobody outside those companies controls that, and anybody who says otherwise is selling. You can see roughly where you stand today with the AI visibility checker and the AIO readiness scanner, and if you want your site stating its own terms to the crawlers, the llms.txt generator writes the file for you and the local schema generator builds the structured data block those systems read first. The long version lives on the AI search optimization page.
The process is the same in Pensacola, Key West and everywhere between. What changes is the audit, because your competitors are the ones down the road, not the ones two hundred miles away.
Two things stay true the whole way through. You own your website, your content, your domain and every account we touch, starting on day one rather than at the end of some term. And there is no term: everything is month-to-month, so the only thing keeping the relationship alive is that it is working for you. The full build philosophy, including what we refuse to do, is on how we build.
On timing, we will not put a date on a ranking. We will tell you the shape of it: technical fixes can register within weeks, content compounds over months, and a competitive Florida metro takes longer than a quiet one, sometimes considerably. How long SEO takes gets into it properly, and how long it takes to build a website covers the other half of the question.
We publish numbers because vague pricing wastes everybody's time, yours included. These are the same figures we say out loud on a call.
Ongoing SEO or Local SEO runs $1,500 to $3,500 a month for most businesses. In competitive metros, or for a business running multiple locations, it runs $3,500 to $7,500 a month. Florida contains both situations, sometimes in the same trade sixty miles apart, so where a business lands comes down to its category and its real competitors rather than its zip code. A single location in a quieter niche sits at the low end of the range. A multi-location operation in a crowded South Florida category sits at the high end. We look before we quote, which is why there is a range here and not one number.
If the website has to be rebuilt before any of that can work, custom builds run $3,500 to $12,000 or more, one time, through custom web design. Custom tools price on their own: calculators start at $600, most workhorse tools land between $1,500 and $4,000, and online ordering or a small store starts at $3,500. Tool Care, which keeps a tool patched and running after launch, is $75 a month per tool.
For Google Ads we do not publish a management fee, because the honest answer depends on the account. Agencies generally charge one of two ways, a flat monthly fee or a percentage of ad spend. We quote flat after a free consult, so the fee does not climb every time you raise the budget.
Everything is month-to-month. No long-term contract, no minimum term, no early termination fee, and you own the site, the content and the accounts either way. For deeper breakdowns, read how much SEO costs and how much a website costs, or run the what should you pay calculator, which gives you a range with no sales call attached to it.
Cost also shifts by metro, and each Florida market has a page for that: Orlando SEO cost, Tampa SEO cost, Miami SEO cost, Jacksonville SEO cost, Fort Lauderdale SEO cost and St. Petersburg SEO cost. If you would rather see something concrete than read another price list, a free mockup shows you what your site could look like before you spend a dollar.
Yes. We are based in Orlando, and we have been Orlando-based, working with local service businesses nationwide since 2008. Orlando is the one Florida metro where we are genuinely local. There is no satellite office in Tampa or Miami, and we are not going to pretend otherwise to win a job.
No. One home base in Orlando, no satellite offices, and no local staff anywhere else in Florida. The work does not require it. Claiming a Google Business Profile, fixing schema, writing service area pages and rebuilding a slow site all happen the same way regardless of who is in the room. What you get instead is direct access to the person doing the work, by phone, text, video or email.

Longer than in a quiet one, and longer than anyone selling you a fast answer will admit. Technical fixes can register within weeks. Content compounds over months. A crowded South Florida category with entrenched competitors takes longer than a trade with three serious players in a smaller metro. We will not put a date on a ranking before auditing the market, because that is guessing dressed up as a promise.
No. Those six have their own pages because they have competitive sets worth writing about at length. We take work anywhere in Florida and well outside it, whether that is Naples, Sarasota, Ocala, Fort Myers, Port St. Lucie or a town nobody else is targeting. The process does not change. The audit does, because your competitors are whoever is actually ranking near you right now.
Nobody can promise that. Google now sells ads in and around its AI answers and other assistants are heading the same way, so there is paid inventory in that space. What no budget does is decide which businesses the written answer itself names. What we can do is make your business readable to those systems: clean structure, direct answers, consistent business data and real reviews.
No contract. Everything is month-to-month, with no minimum term and no early termination fee. You own the website, the content, the domain and every account we touch, starting on day one rather than after some term expires. If you decide to leave, you leave with all of it intact and working. We would rather earn the month than hold your assets hostage to keep you.
