How much does SEO cost for a gutter company?

The short answer: For most gutter companies, ongoing SEO runs $1,500 to $3,500 a month. Companies in a large metro, covering a wide route, or running crews out of more than one location usually land at $3,500 to $7,500 a month, because more competitors are already spending and there are more pages to keep current. What moves a gutter company inside those ranges is unusual for a trade: cleaning, guards, and replacement are three businesses sharing one word, and covering all three costs more than a plan built around the one you want more of. Everything is month to month with no long-term contract, and you own your site, your content, and your accounts.

What drives the number for a gutter company

Nobody can quote a gutter company honestly without seeing the market and the current site. Five things move the number more than the rest.

Why the work is priced monthly, and how to read any quote against that, is in the SEO cost guide. The rest of this page is gutter specific.

What each range buys a gutter company

Ongoing SEO for most gutter companies runs $1,500 to $3,500 a month. Companies in competitive metros, or running crews out of more than one location, run $3,500 to $7,500 a month. Those are the figures we publish and the figures we charge, month to month.

In the first range, one company in one metro: the page called Services split into real pages for cleaning, guards, repair, replacement, downspouts, and the fascia work you either do or hand off. Town pages for the routes that pay, each with something true on it. Local schema so the site and the map listing agree. Profile management with your own job photos, a review request the crew can send before it leaves, and a content marketing cadence that puts the guard and replacement material up months ahead of the season. Reporting comes with the fee: first-party lead dashboards run on more than 20 of the sites we manage, so the fall budget conversation starts with calls by source.

In the second range, the same work scaled to the footprint: a page set and a profile per location or major market, more published each month, deeper technical work on a larger site, and product comparison content per market instead of once.

Two things sit outside that fee. Ad budget goes straight to Google, and management is quoted on its own: the industry bills it as a flat monthly fee or a percentage of spend, and we quote flat after a free consult, covered on the Google Ads page. Anything custom built is its own line, usually a roofline estimator here. Calculators start from $600, most workhorse tools run $1,500 to $4,000 one time, and Tool Care is $75 a month per tool.

Making the business readable to AI answers is part of the same monthly work, not another invoice. Google now sells ads in and around those answers, so paid placement is real there. What no budget decides is which companies the organic answer itself names. That gets assembled from plain facts on plain pages: the profiles and sizes you run, the guard systems you install, and how high you will work. Most gutter sites leave all of that out.

How to get a real number for your company

Do your own math before you compare quotes. Work out how many extra jobs a month your average ticket needs to cover a plan in the middle of that first range. A company selling full roofline guard systems needs very few. A company living on cleaning calls needs many more, and the honest answer there may be that the profile, the reviews, and the map come first. We will say so on the call.

Related questions

Do gutter companies pay more for SEO than other trades?

No. We price by market and scope, not by the trade on the truck. What pushes a gutter quote up is that one word covers three businesses: cleaning, guard systems, and replacement. Cover all three properly and you are paying for three sets of pages, a page for each guard system you install, and a town page for every route worth a full day. Cover one of them and the plan is smaller.

Can we pause SEO in the slow season and start again before the leaves fall?

Everything is month to month, so you can. It usually costs more than it saves. The quiet months are when the guard, replacement, and town pages get written and indexed, and anything published during the week the phone goes off is late for that week. If the budget has to shrink in the off season, cutting the monthly volume beats stopping and restarting.

Should a gutter company spend on SEO or Google Ads first?

It depends on how full the schedule is. Ads buy calls now and stop the day you stop paying, which makes them useful for a soft stretch or a new town. SEO is slower, and the pages, schema, profile, and reviews stay in place after the invoice is paid. One thing specific to this trade: bidding hardest during the two weeks every competitor is bidding on the same cleaning terms, then going dark in spring while guard buyers are quietly researching, is backwards. Ad management is typically billed as a flat monthly fee or a percentage of spend, and we quote flat after a free consult.
