The short answer: For most countertop fabricators and installers, ongoing SEO runs $1,500 to $3,500 a month. Shops competing in a large metro, or running more than one location, usually land at $3,500 to $7,500 a month, because more competitors are already spending and there are more material and location pages to keep current. What moves you between those ranges is the competition inside your install radius, how many materials and services you want covered, how many locations you run, and how much your website and Google Business Profile still need. The work is month to month with no long-term contract, and you own your site, your content, and your accounts.
Nobody can quote a countertop company honestly without looking at the market first. The price tracks how much work your situation takes, and four things move that more than anything else in this trade.
Ongoing SEO for most countertop fabricators and installers runs $1,500 to $3,500 a month. Shops in competitive metros, or running more than one location, run $3,500 to $7,500 a month. Those are the figures we publish and charge. Why this work is priced monthly at all, and how to read a quote, is covered in the SEO cost guide.
In the first range, one shop in an ordinary market: a real page for each material you fabricate instead of one materials list, service area pages that stop where your trucks stop, local schema so the map listing and the site agree, profile management, a review routine the install crew can keep, and a content marketing cadence aimed at the comparison and cost questions people ask before booking a measure. Reporting is part of the fee: first-party lead dashboards run on more than 20 of the sites we manage, so the monthly update can show calls and form fills instead of ranking screenshots.
In the second range, all of that, repeated per location and scaled to the market: real location pages with their own showroom hours and slab selection rather than a template with the city swapped, more content because the competition is publishing too, deeper technical work on a large photo-heavy site, and more time across several profiles and review streams.
The cheap end in this trade usually arrives as a marketing bundle from a slab supplier, a franchise program, or a countertop-only site vendor. It is inexpensive because almost none of it was written for your shop: the same quartz against granite page went out to hundreds of fabricators, comma for comma. Duplicate copy is hard to rank and harder still to get quoted by an AI assistant, so the low price often buys a site that cannot do the job.
Plenty of shops land outside the middle of those ranges. The honest version of why:
Two things sit outside the monthly number. Google Ads is billed separately: agencies typically charge either a flat management fee or a percentage of ad spend, and we quote a flat fee after a free consult. And AI answers are now part of how homeowners narrow the list, because material comparison questions are exactly what people hand to an assistant. Google sells ads in and around those answers, so that space is not free of paid placement, but no budget decides which shops the organic answer itself names. Making your shop readable to those tools is part of the same monthly work, not another invoice.
Run your own math before you compare quotes. Take your average installed job and work out how many extra kitchens a month cover a plan in the middle of that first range. A shop doing full kitchens needs a small handful. A shop living on vanity tops and remnant work needs more, and the honest answer may be that a review push and the local SEO map results come first. We will say so on the call if that is what we think.

No. We price by market and scope, not by trade. What pushes a countertop quote up is usually the competition in the same search results, big box installed sales programs and regional fabricators with several shops, plus how many materials, services, and locations you want covered. The fact that you fabricate stone is not itself a surcharge.
No long-term contract, and no separate setup fee for the SEO work. Everything runs month to month, and you own your site, your content, and your accounts. If the website itself has to be rebuilt before the monthly work can pay off, that is a separate one-time cost of $3,500 to $12,000 or more depending on size and complexity.
It depends on where you need to catch people. Ads work at the bottom of the decision, when a homeowner is ready for a quote, and they stop the day you stop paying. SEO reaches that same homeowner weeks earlier, while they are still comparing quartz to granite and guessing at a price, and the pages, schema, profile, and reviews stay in place after the invoice is paid. Ad management is usually priced as a flat monthly fee or a percentage of ad spend, and we quote a flat fee after a free consult. Plenty of shops run both.
