How much does SEO cost for a stucco contractor?

The short answer: For most stucco contractors, ongoing SEO or Local SEO runs $1,500 to $3,500 a month, and $3,500 to $7,500 a month in a competitive metro or across multiple locations. Most single-market stucco companies land in that first band. A custom website is priced separately as a one-time build at $3,500 to $12,000+, and plenty of contractors bundle the two. Everything is month-to-month, and you own the site, the content, and the accounts.

Why the quote swings: your market, your job mix, and how far the trucks go

Two stucco companies the same size, running the same crews, can get quotes a couple thousand dollars apart. Four things account for almost all of that gap.

How crowded the results already are. Stucco is rarely a closed field. Painters, plaster shops, and general remodelers list stucco as one line on a services page and land in the same results. Where stucco is on most of the housing stock, that field is deep and the monthly goes up. Where it is a specialty finish, the monthly comes down.

Repair work versus moisture remediation. Two buyers, two different searches. Someone looking at hairline cracking wants a patch and a price. Someone staring at a stain under a window, or holding an inspection report that flagged readings behind the wall, wants a diagnosis before a number. Those pages rank for different phrases and take longer to write, and wanting both kinds of work means buying more content, usually the largest line inside the monthly.

Regional systems, regional vocabulary. A traditional three-coat wall over lath and a synthetic system are not the same job, and homeowners in different regions do not use the same words for either. The page count that covers your market is not the one that covers somebody else's.

One market or several. Every additional city needs its own local signals: its own Google Business Profile work, its own service-area pages, its own review flow. That is the line where most stucco contractors cross from the lower band into the upper one.

Reviews sit underneath all four. Stucco work is visible and permanent, and a callback about moisture that came back does not stay quiet. Review and reputation work sits inside the monthly, not off to the side as a separate purchase.

What the money buys: crack pages, moisture pages, and Map Pack work

$1,500 to $3,500 a month covers most single-market stucco contractors. It buys the technical side of the site, Local SEO and Map Pack optimization, service-area pages for the towns you actually drive to, project pages that separate cosmetic repair from remediation and new construction, a review request routine, ongoing content, and AI Search Optimization so answer engines have something of yours to quote when a homeowner asks about spiderweb cracking.

$3,500 to $7,500 a month is for competitive metros and multi-location operations. Nothing changes in kind, only in volume: more markets to hold, more pages per market, a faster publishing cadence, more citation cleanup, and reporting that keeps branches separate so you can see which crew a lead belongs to.

Website builds are priced on their own, as a one-time custom build at $3,500 to $12,000+. Plenty of contractors bundle a build with the first stretch of SEO, and the answer on what a stucco website costs breaks that side down.

Two things sit outside the retainer. Custom tools: calculators start at $600, most workhorse tools run $1,500 to $4,000, Tool Care is $75/month per tool. For stucco that usually means a square-footage estimator or an intake form that books an inspection. Google Ads: no published management fee here. The industry runs on flat fees or a percentage of spend, and we quote flat after a free consult.

Whatever the band, you should see what it produced. First-party lead dashboards run on more than 20 of the sites we manage, so calls and forms get counted on your own site rather than taken on faith.

What pushes a stucco quote up, and what pulls it down

It runs higher when nearly every house in your metro is stucco and established companies already rank, when you run crews out of more than one branch, when you want remediation work and not only patching, or when the site has to be rebuilt before anything can compound.

It runs lower when you serve one county, when the site is sound and only the local signals need attention, or when you are newer and there is no decade of somebody else's shortcuts to undo.

What it does not do is drop to a few hundred dollars a month. At that price the deliverable is a report, not work. For the general version of this argument, the guide on how much SEO costs covers it, and the what should you pay tool will put a range on your own situation.

As a worked example, say a full re-stucco job books at $8,000 and a repair call books at $1,200: the same monthly reads very differently against those two tickets. Nobody can promise a specific count of jobs, and we do not. Whether the number pays for itself is the question the answer on whether SEO is worth it for stucco contractors takes apart.

What to do next if the inspection is where you close

Stucco is an inspection-led sale. You rarely close over the phone. You close at the wall, meter in hand, pointing at the flashing. That makes the website's job narrower than most contractors assume. It is not there to sell the work. It is there to get you on the property before the homeowner calls anyone else.

So before you agree to a monthly figure, get three answers straight: what the current site is producing, how many markets you want to hold, and whether repair or remediation is the work you want more of. Those move the price more than any package name.

The stucco websites and SEO page lays out how we build for this trade: the site, the Map Pack work, the project and service-area pages, and the AI search side. Related questions

Can we scale the spend down in the off season?

You can. Everything is month-to-month, so nothing traps you. But the work compounds, and positions you stop feeding do not hold their place indefinitely. The practical version for stucco: the foundation has to be built before build season, not during it. Run lean in the quiet months and turn the cadence back up before demand arrives.

Do moisture remediation pages cost more to produce than repair pages?

No. Content sits inside the monthly, not billed by the page. What the mix changes is how much of it you need. Remediation buyers ask longer questions and expect a diagnosis before a price, so those pages run longer and there are more of them. If remediation is where your margin lives, say so at the start.

We also paint and do plaster. Does covering all three raise the price?

It can. Each service is its own family of searches with its own competitors, so three services is closer to three page sets than one. In a single market that usually means the upper part of $1,500 to $3,500 rather than the bottom of it. It only pushes you into $3,500 to $7,500 when the added services are as contested as the stucco.
