How much does SEO cost for a bathroom remodeler?

The short answer: For most bathroom remodelers, ongoing SEO runs $1,500 to $3,500 a month. Companies working a crowded metro, running more than one showroom, or covering a radius that crosses several markets usually sit in the $3,500 to $7,500 a month range instead. What tends to push a remodeler up inside whichever range applies is the writing: this trade sells through photographs, and a photograph gives search engines and AI answers nothing to read, so the pages have to say what the pictures cannot. If the website itself has to be rebuilt before any of that can pay off, that is a separate one-time project, and custom builds run $3,500 to $12,000+.

What moves the number for a bathroom remodeler

The trade on the truck does not set the price. Three things do: how crowded your market is, how much ground the site has to cover, and how much fixing and writing it still needs.

The general drivers behind any SEO price are laid out in the SEO cost guide. What matters here is how they land on a company selling a slow, expensive, photograph-driven decision.

What each range buys in this trade

Both figures below are the ones we publish, and both are billed month to month.

Some things sit outside that fee. Ad budget is separate and goes straight to Google. Ads management has no published price on our side: across the industry it is billed as a flat monthly fee or a percentage of spend, and we quote a flat fee after a free consult, covered on Google Ads. Anything custom-built is priced on its own, usually a project cost estimator here. Calculators start from $600, most workhorse custom tools run $1,500 to $4,000, and Tool Care runs $75 a month per tool. More than 50 free tools are already published at kellywm.com/tools with no email wall.

Visibility in AI answers is part of the same monthly work, not a separate invoice. Google now sells ads in and around AI answers, so there is real money moving on those screens. What no budget decides is who the organic answer itself names. That gets assembled from what is published and readable, which in a visual trade means writing the work out beside the gallery. It falls under AI search optimization. Nobody can promise a given assistant will name your company.

When it costs more, and when it costs less

Two remodelers of the same size can get different numbers. Here is what pushes it either way.

It costs more when:

It costs less when:

The other thing to budget for: the gap between a first visit and a signed contract runs long here, so the spend gets carried through a stretch where nothing has closed yet.

What to do next

Turning a range into a number takes a short conversation about your market, your site, and whether you are holding ground or taking it. Two things you can do on your own first:

The full scope for this trade, what gets built and in what order, is on the bathroom remodeling page. Timing is answered under how long SEO takes, which matters here because the buying cycle is measured in months before search is involved at all. The map results piece is described under local SEO.

We are booked out for months. Should we pause SEO until things slow down?

You can. Everything is month to month and you own the site, the content, and the accounts, so nothing holds you in. It is worth knowing what you give up. The gap between a homeowner's first visit and a signed contract runs long in this trade, so the work you pay for while you are full is what is out there working when the backlog clears. Pausing when you are busy usually means paying for a faster catch-up when you are not.

One bathroom is worth thousands. Does the high ticket change the math?

It changes it, but only you can run it. Work out your average project value and your close rate on consultations, then see how many extra projects a year it would take to cover the fee. With a high ticket that number is usually small, which is a genuinely different situation from a business selling two hundred dollar service calls. That is arithmetic, not a promise. Nobody can tell you in advance how many jobs any marketing will produce, and anyone who names a figure is guessing.

Can a local remodeler compete with the national one-day bath brands?

Not on ad budget. They buy the paid placements and they buy the brand awareness, and trying to match that spend is a losing plan for a local company. The contestable ground is the map results, the searches that include a town or a neighborhood, and pages describing real projects in houses like the one the homeowner is standing in. A national brand's website is not showing the bathroom it finished three streets over. Yours can.
